Information on Events

Do you or someone you know suffer from an undiagnosed medical complaint which is affecting your quality of life? Are you desperate to find the cause? Shine TV would like to hear from anyone interested in taking part as a contributor in a new pilot for BBC One where we take successful applicants through a range of tests in order to diagnose the condition.

If interested please contact Kate on diagnosis@shine.tv with a description of your symptoms and an explanation as to how they are affecting your life.

Please be advised that the Scleroderma Society is not involved in any aspect of the programme and has no connection with either Shine TV or the BBC. It is entirely to the discretion of the individual whether they choose to volunteer or not.

World Arthritis Day

We are pleased to announce that the 2009 survey "Let`s work together" is on-line and we would really appreciate your help! Please fill it in and share with colleagues and other organisations - visit http://www.worldarthritisday.org/survey.php

The aim of this year is to highlight some of the issues associated with work based on the experiences and perspectives of people with rheumatic diseases, employers and healthcare professionals to generate news stories for WAD and identify positive ways of working together. The survey has been developed with three separate, but comparable questionnaires, for:

  • People with rheumatic diseases
  • Physicians and allied health professionals working with people with rheumatic diseases
  • Employers

The more people that fill in the survey in your country, the stronger the results and potential media opportunities for your national WAD campaign will be.

The survey has been translated into 18 languages!

For more information and other exciting projects please visits our website: www.worldarthritisday.org .
