Awards for Scientific and Medical ResearchThe trustees of the Scleroderma Society make financial awards for scientific or medical research following due consideration of applications for such awards that it may receive. In taking a decision to make an award, the trustees seek advice and comments from at least three independent, appropriately qualified reviewers, and from members of its own Medical Scientific committee. The Scleroderma Society is completely dependent on the generosity of donors for its income and undertakes a variety of fundraising activities to raise money to support its objectives. The trustees need to ensure that their financial commitments are fully covered. Before formally applying to The Scleroderma Society for a financial award, we recommend that you contact us to discuss the amount you require and when you would require it. The trustees will provide an indication of the possible availability of funding.
