As far as treatment is concerned it is probably best to leave the lumps alone if they are not causing too much discomfort, although waxing may be helpful to bring the calcinosis to the surface. Unfortunately there are no drug treatments available. If the calcium deposits are painful, causing repeated ulceration or functional problems, a highly skilled surgeon can remove them in a special operation using a dentist's drill! Other surgery is not recommended unless the deposits are causing severe ulceration and/or tissue loss.
